Formatting of entries

in Each entry must include both a description of and visuals relating to the project. The description should include an account of the project’s defining premises and the design scheme, as well as the considerations underpinning the choice of solution. Thus besides identifying key architectonic aspects, it should set out the functional, customer-oriented issues the project is designed to solve.

In the case of refurbishment and extension projects, it must be made explicit what is new. The visual material shall include photographs of the project and may be supplemented by drawings. In the case of refurbishment and extension projects, a statement and photographs should be provided outlining the situation before the start of the project.

The format of supporting documentation for each entry must be as follows:

Each entry must be digitally composed in the form of one graphic panel presenting all necessary visual and written information about the project. No other or additional support material (models, video, samples etc.) is allowed. The panel must be submitted as a single computer file in pdf or eps format.

Only one panel per project is allowed.

The entry must be submitted to C4IDT electronically to brunelentries@c4idt.org containing the entry panel and, in a separate folder, all elements composing the panel (textfiles in Word format, photographs and plans in tiff or jpg format) - see the page "rules", too.

All documents and projects should be free of copyright for C4IDT and the Watford Group to permit the publication of the Brunel Awards Competition results in the catalogue and the dissemination of information about the results via the print media, television and radio networks, Internet websites, and other appropriate media venues.

All entries from a company may be submitted on the same Mail, in separate data containers, each clearly named with the name of the company, the number of the category and the name of the entry (Example: “OEBB – 1 - Linz station rebuilt”). The panel file itself as well as all other text, plan and photo files should be named correspondingly.

All Panels and pictures must be ready to print and have a resolution of 300dpi. C4IDT will print and mount the panels in a height of 120 cm for jury assessment and for exhibition purpose.

The panel may be presented using the module of the submitter’s own choosing, constrained only by a mandatory requirement regarding size, viz. height 120 cm x minimum width 21 cm and maximum width 84 cm. Information of the entry such as name, company, category etc. has to be placed on an entry form in the upper left corner of the entry.
